Don't worry, there will be no 'hard selling' -just the covers and a bit about what each book is about. If your interest is piqued, you can always hop over to Amazon, and they're pretty easy to find.
Anyway, I really hope you enjoy meeting my book 'family.' My newly-published book is called 'You can get Here from There', which is styled as an illustrated journal, so a genuinely exciting new development in my writing career. Although I'm not sure if there will be another similar project for a while, it was far more work and infinitely more challenging than I'd imagined, but never say never....

Told through her diary entries and accompanied by her own sketches and watercolours, 'You can Get Here from There' is part travelogue, part personal reflection and part love letter to the natural world.
Gentle, observant and full of wonder, this book confirms that change can be beautiful, courage can be quiet and that sometimes the way forward begins with a single step in a place on the other side of the world.
The collection is based through the lens of the four seasons and talks about life, love and loss using experiences from my own life. It felt like the best way to really express some truth in the words, and hopefully, this will make each poem more relatable.
There are suitable images throughout the book which add both context and colour, these were either taken from my own pictures or from family members. I can assure you, there was no AI used in the creation of any part of the collection.

Simply put, this novel is a collection of personal letters to a much-loved friend, telling a story, based on real events. It offers a generous slice, of what should have been the very normal life cake, from a woman who routinely describes herself as an ordinary single mum. If you enjoyed, for example, Dawn French’s masterpiece ‘Dear Fatty’ with a liberal sprinkling of an homage to Helen Fielding’s ‘Bridget Jones’, then, it’s not completely unlikely, you might quite enjoy this book but I’m not promising anything.
Anyway, in a bid to make her life a little more interesting, our heroine tries to make a long-hidden wish to write come true and she starts to understand her life has actually been anything but dull! But when she unexpectedly falls in love, her literary dreams are rapidly overcome with the need to pursue the chance of a 'happy ever after' and she literally throws caution to the wind!
From sharing the stories of her often misspent youth to making life-changing decisions for her future, each letter reveals more. Sometimes crippling self-doubts or her love of the ridiculous, the pain of unbearable sadness or the simple pleasures of life- all while trying to make sure there is always something to eat in the fridge. As the tale unfolds, she openly shares all the highs and lows, with the only thing keeping her going being a sincere belief, there is always hope. By the end of the story, whether her experience has changed her for the better is debatable, but if nothing else, it proves - beyond doubt- nobody is ordinary!
